The Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji (FENC Fiji) has introduced its Child Education Support Scheme to supply essential school materials to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Collaborating with the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development, FENC Fiji is ensuring application forms are available through district offices, facilitating nationwide reach. With expectations that demand for the scheme will exceed the previous year’s support of over 7,000 children, the application window opens today, lasting six weeks until November 8th.
FENC Fiji, since its establishment in 2009, has aided over 39,000 children. Annual funding of approximately $300,000 from the Fijian government and private donors highlights the foundation’s essential role in combatting educational inequities and encouraging academic endeavors.
