The Minister for Defence and Veterans Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua, has announced the appointment of Jesoni Vitusagavulu as Fiji’s Ambassador-designate to the State of Israel via social media, prior to an official government release. This week, Tikoduadua, accompanied by Permanent Secretary Mason Smith, met with Vitusagavulu to deliberate on Fiji’s peacekeeping commitments in the Middle East. The discussions covered essential topics such as the protection and welfare of Fijian troops deployed in the area, with a specific focus on those stationed in the Golan Heights.
