The Fijian government is placing a strong focus on urgent reforms to its immigration laws in response to growing concerns about the processing of foreign worker applications. Acting Attorney-General Siromi Turaga announced that his office will conduct a review of draft bills through a cabinet subcommittee on legislation, with the goal of introducing these bills by late November or at the first parliamentary session in December.
