Bail has been denied for three Chinese nationals, Dai Ming Hui, Yu Yuan Feng, and Zhou Lan, who are facing serious charges related to the unlawful possession of illicit drugs. The trio appeared at the Suva Magistrate’s Court, where it was revealed that they allegedly had 39.5 grams of methamphetamine in their possession at the time of their arrest.
Zhou Lan is facing additional charges for possessing foreign and local currencies believed to be the proceeds of criminal activities. Furthermore, Yu Yuan Feng is charged with illegally supplying methamphetamine and holding money suspected to be linked to criminal activities.
Their arrests are part of a broader police crackdown that resulted in multiple charges against various individuals following coordinated raids in Suva, Rewa Street, Flagstaff, and Nadi conducted last month. The authorities have made significant efforts to tackle the growing issue of drug-related crimes within the region, reflecting a strong commitment to ensure public safety.
