The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) recently launched a significant military exercise, Exercise Cartwheel 2025, which will run until November 11, 2025. This large-scale operation includes simulated gunfire and explosive training, prompting the RFMF to assure the public that any associated sounds should not cause alarm. The exercise is centered around areas surrounding Force Training Group, Wainibuku, Makoi, and Colo-i-Suva.
Participants in Exercise Cartwheel 2025 include troops from several countries, notably the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Tonga, and Japan.
