A noteworthy case has emerged involving Shonal Sharma, a 40-year-old General Manager of a mechanical company, who is currently in custody after being charged with importing over 600 grams of cocaine. Sharma appeared before Magistrate Viniana Diroiroi, where he was informed of the serious charges linked to a suspicious shipment that arrived in Fiji last week. The shipment, misleadingly labeled as a “smoke machine,” was intercepted during a joint operation by the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service due to its suspicious nature.
