Residents of Navatusila and Magodro, located in the highlands of Ba and Navosa, are rejoicing following the inauguration of the $5.4 million Navatusila Grid Extension Project. Local villager Adi Kaveni Salaivalu shared her excitement, emphasizing the transformative impact of the project on the community’s daily life. Public Works Minister Ro Filipe Tuisawau underscored the project’s significance, noting that the government has invested $5.4 million for grid expansion and wiring, with an additional $300,000 allocated for house wiring to ensure safe and reliable electricity connections. The project began earlier this year and now provides residents with dependable power for lighting, household appliances, and income-generating activities, which enhances their overall quality of life.
