The Fiji Football Association’s grassroots festival is set to continue this Saturday, with an expected boost in young participants eager to join the academy’s developmental activities. Last weekend, the Ba Academy grounds were alive with energy and enthusiasm, successfully hosting the festival despite the relentless rain that threatened to disrupt the occasion.

The event showcased the determination and passion of the young footballers, who enthusiastically engaged in enjoyable sessions focused on improving their skills, teamwork, and love for the sport. The attendance of Ravinesh Kumar, the Director of Ba Football, along with players from the Ba team, provided additional motivation and inspiration for the youngsters as they guided them through the festival activities.

Dhiren Chand, the Head of Development (West) for Fiji FA, praised the participants for their incredible spirit, noting that the energy and enthusiasm displayed by the young athletes were truly impressive and perfectly encapsulated the essence of grassroots football. He highlighted that such events offer children a crucial opportunity to enjoy the game while developing their skills and self-confidence in a supportive environment.

As this grassroots initiative continues to flourish, it not only nurtures emerging talent but also strengthens community ties, ensuring a promising future for football in Fiji.
