The National Export Strategy Committee has allocated $300,000 to support two export-oriented projects during its inaugural meeting for the 2025/2026 financial year. This meeting focused on evaluating the performance of the National Export Strategy Committee for the 2024/2025 period and reviewing three shortlisted grant proposals.
Expert members from various sectors of the export industry meticulously assessed each application to ensure they align with the overarching goals of the National Export Strategy Program. This program aims to foster high-impact initiatives that aid sustainable economic growth, boost competitiveness, encourage value addition, and promote diversification within Fiji’s economy.
After thorough discussions, the committee approved two projects, providing them with a total funding of $300,000. The committee also reiterated that the grant program is ongoing, inviting eligible businesses to apply. This opportunity targets aspiring exporters with a minimum of two years in the domestic market, as well as current exporters looking to expand their reach.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance Fiji’s export capabilities and open up new avenues for local businesses, facilitating access to both regional and international markets. By supporting these projects, the committee aims to strengthen Fiji’s economic landscape and encourage growth within the export sector.
