Queens from various Pacific nations have arrived in Nadi, igniting a vibrant atmosphere as Fiji gears up to host the highly anticipated Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2026. This event is particularly significant for Fiji, which has been waiting a decade since it last crowned a Miss Pacific Islands in 2016, aiming to reaffirm its position in regional events.

Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei expressed her excitement regarding the occasion, highlighting its importance not just for Fiji but for the entire Pacific region. “We’re thrilled to welcome seven other Pacific Island countries to Fiji. This week, we will showcase the best of our cultures, promote friendship, and give our queens a chance to shine on a truly international platform,” she stated.

The arrival of the queens marks the beginning of a thrilling week filled with glamour, cultural exhibitions, and camaraderie. Participants will engage in team-building exercises and exclusive behind-the-scenes preparations, offering fans a glimpse into the production of a world-class Pacific event. As Tuiketei mentioned, “We’re also excited to welcome the other Miss Pacific Islands Queens, and due to their partnership, we will be showcasing everything behind the scenes and all activities during the pageant.”

In keeping with Pacific traditions, celebrations began with a homage to God on White Sunday, creating a meaningful highlight for the week. Local audiences will have the chance to participate in the festivities, as the pageant will be broadcast live on FBC TV and also streamed on the VT Plus platform, reaching audiences across 16 other countries.

Tickets are available through Ticketmax, and Tuiketei encourages Fijians to come out and “cheer your queen on” as the nation steps back into the spotlight. With the contestants already settled in Nadi, excitement is building for what promises to be a fiercely competitive event. Team Fiji, along with Miss Fiji Ailava Samuel, is reported to be disciplined and ready to compete against strong regional rivals.

This pageant transcends mere competition; it embodies themes of friendship, diplomacy, culture, and pride while showcasing Fiji’s strengths. As the official date approaches, the buzz in Nadi intensifies, and the Pacific region eagerly anticipates who will be crowned Miss Pacific Islands 2026.
