Ashwin Kumar, a member of the organizing committee, emphasized the workshop’s intent to enhance the efficiency of Fiji’s workforce and promote better utilization of technology across various professions. “We’re very excited to take AI to the next level,” Kumar stated, highlighting the necessity for users in Fiji to learn how to boost productivity and use AI ethically.

The workshop particularly noted that educators are positioned to gain significant advantages from AI tools. Kumar explained how these technologies could assist teachers in resource management, grading assessments, data analysis, and timely feedback for students. Francois Trachy, the resource person for FNU, pointed out that the rise of digitalization is irrepressible, and adapting to these changes is crucial.
