Fiji FNRL Semi-Finals Spark Weekend Rugby Fever

Anticipation is building as the semi-finals of the Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) competition are set to kick off tomorrow at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. Fans are excited to watch exhilarating matches across both the men’s and women’s categories.

In the Vodafone Cup Premier men’s semi-finals, the Navy Albatross will go head-to-head with the Namuaniwaqa Sea Eagles at 1pm. This matchup will be followed by the defending champions, the Vusu Raiders, taking on the USP Raiders at 3pm. Both games promise to be high-energy spectacles as the teams battle for a coveted place in the finals.

The women’s semi-finals are also expected to be thrilling, with the USP Raiders challenging the Lami Steelers at 1pm, and the Namoli West Tigers facing the Police Sharks at 2:30pm. These matches are set to highlight the incredible skill and athleticism of female players in rugby league.

Meanwhile, the under-18 division will present matches featuring the USP Raiders against the Namuaniwaqa Sea Eagles and the Saru Dragons battling the Nadera Panthers, both scheduled to take place at ground two.

The Rising League semi-finals will commence on ground one as well, showcasing young talent with the U12 Saru Dragons facing off against the USP Raiders and the Nadera Panthers meeting the Namoli West Tigers at 10am. The action continues with U14 matchups, where the USP Raiders will go against the Namoli West Tigers at 11am, followed by the Saru Dragons who will take on the Nadera Panthers at 12pm. Finally, the U16 category will feature a face-off between the Ravoravo Rabbitohs and the Nadera Panthers at 1pm, concluding with the USP Raiders competing against the Saru Dragons at 2pm.
