The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has announced the confiscation of 250 diverse flavored vape products following a coordinated raid on a company located in Namaka, Nadi, conducted yesterday morning. This joint operation involved multiple agencies including the Fiji Revenue & Customs Service, the Fiji Police Force, the Nadi Health Office, and the Tobacco Control & Enforcement Unit.

The raid stemmed from allegations that the company was involved in the illegal importation and distribution of vape products without the necessary license from the Ministry of Health. Authorities have emphasized that this operation marks a crucial advancement in their efforts to combat the illicit tobacco and vaping trade in Fiji.

This action not only highlights the ongoing concerns related to public health but also demonstrates the commitment of various governmental agencies to enforce regulations and protect community well-being. The Ministry’s proactive approach aims to ensure that all businesses comply with health standards and legal requirements, fostering a safer, healthier environment for the public.
