Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service, Sevuloni Naucukidi, is set to plead in court next month in connection with a charge of criminal intimidation stemming from an alleged threat against a senior staff member in July. The plea hearing, originally scheduled for today at the Magistrate court in Suva, was postponed as Naucukidi’s defense team requested additional time to review new disclosures related to the case, prompting the court to adjourn proceedings until November 11.
Naucukidi faces serious allegations that arose from an incident in July, where he is purported to have threatened physical harm to a staff member during a confrontation.
