Team Fiji Para Table Tennis has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing third place in the 2025 ITTF-Oceania Para Championships held in New Zealand from September 26 to 28. Competing against formidable opponents from Australia, New Zealand, and other Pacific nations, the team displayed outstanding skill and determination, bringing home six prestigious medals.
The team’s notable accomplishments include a gold medal victory in the women’s doubles category and a range of bronze medals in various singles and doubles events. The final team rankings saw Australia in first place, New Zealand in second, and Fiji in third. Among the medalists, the women’s doubles team of Mere and Akanisi clinched gold, while in the women’s singles, they secured bronze. Kope earned a bronze in the men’s singles, and the men’s doubles team of Kope and Eparama brought home another bronze. Additionally, in the mixed doubles, Mere and Kope also won bronze, as did Jake and Jone in the men’s doubles.
