During recent visits to Balata College and Nadalei Village in Tavua, Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, reaffirmed the Fijian government’s dedication to prioritizing health services, infrastructure, and the sugar industry. Professor Prasad emphasized that the National Budget aims not just to allocate funds, but to create opportunities, enhance essential services, and promote inclusivity to ensure no citizen is left behind.
Residents voiced concerns regarding health infrastructure and the challenges facing the sugar industry, prompting Professor Prasad to assure them of the government’s attentiveness and commitment to addressing these issues through collaboration. He highlighted the significance of face-to-face consultations to craft policies that genuinely meet the community’s needs.
