Former national representative and accomplished coach Apenisa Saukuru has been appointed as the Interim Director of Beach Volleyball by the Fiji Volleyball Federation. This position recognizes his extensive experience in the sport, having previously served as a player, coach, and administrator at the national level.

In addition to Saukuru’s new role, Karalaini Delai has taken on the role of general secretary of the Fiji Volleyball Federation, continuing her involvement with the organization after serving on previous boards as secretary. Josefati Cati remains in his position as the Federation’s director of legal affairs, while Emori Bakewa continues as the director of training and development. Furthermore, the athletes’ representative is Vunisei Mateiwai, a national representative and police officer who brings a unique perspective to the federation’s leadership.

The Fiji Volleyball Federation is gearing up for its first tournament of the year, the Vulaca Championship, scheduled for the 30th and 31st of this month. This event marks an exciting start to the season, promising to showcase the athletic talent and competitive spirit of beach volleyball in Fiji. The federation’s recent leadership appointments aim to enhance the performance and development of volleyball in the region, fostering growth and enthusiasm for the sport.
