Professor Prasad underscored the benefits Fiji has received from Chinese-backed initiatives in infrastructure, education, and health, many of which fall under the Belt and Road framework. Notably, the Vanua Levu Road Upgrade Project was cited as a major cooperative effort that promises to enhance connectivity, tourism, and economic growth in Fiji’s northern regions.
