Fiji Airways Wins 2026 APEX Awards for Best Cabin Service and Best Food & Beverage in the South Pacific

Fiji Airways has distinguished itself prominently in the aviation sector by winning the prestigious awards for Best Cabin Service and Best Food and Beverage in the South Pacific at the 2026 APEX Best in Airline Awards. This recognition was announced at the APEX FTE Asia EXPO held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, where the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) highlighted the talents and services of various airlines.

The awards are based on over one million verified passenger votes collected through the TripIt by Concur travel-organising app, making them a true reflection of customer satisfaction and experience. Paul Scurrah, managing director and CEO of Fiji Airways, expressed pride in receiving these accolades, indicating that they reinforce the airline’s reputation as a premium carrier in the region. He noted, “Our continued investment in service quality, dining innovation, and training ensures the warmth of Fiji shines through in every aspect of the journey.”

Akuila Batiweti, the airline’s chief customer officer, also commented on the achievement, highlighting the dedication of the cabin crew and culinary teams in creating a unique Fijian experience at 35,000 feet. He stated, “To be recognized by our guests themselves makes this achievement truly meaningful.”

The APEX Best in Airline Awards celebrate excellence in passenger experience across more than 600 airlines worldwide, evaluating key aspects including seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage quality, entertainment, and Wi-Fi access. Notably, this award recognition follows Fiji Airways’ recent honor as an APEX World Class Airline for 2026, marking it as one of the top 10 airlines globally, and making it the smallest airline by fleet size to achieve this distinction, as well as the only carrier from Oceania to be recognized in this elite category.
