Fiji Airways has made a significant mark in the aviation industry by securing top honors for Best Cabin Service and Best Food and Beverage in the South Pacific at the 2026 APEX Best in Airline Awards. This prestigious recognition was unveiled during the APEX FTE Asia EXPO at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, hosted by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), which spotlighted various airlines for their exceptional service and talent.

The awards stem from the overwhelming response of over one million verified passenger votes collected via the TripIt by Concur travel-organizing app, thereby reflecting genuine customer satisfaction and experiences. Paul Scurrah, Managing Director and CEO of Fiji Airways, expressed pride in these accolades, which underline the airline’s status as a premium carrier within the region. He remarked, “Our continued investment in service quality, dining innovation, and training ensures the warmth of Fiji shines through in every aspect of the journey.”

Furthermore, Akuila Batiweti, the airline’s Chief Customer Officer, emphasized the dedication of the cabin crew and culinary teams in crafting a unique Fijian experience at 35,000 feet. Batiweti noted, “To be recognized by our guests themselves makes this achievement truly meaningful.”

The APEX Best in Airline Awards celebrate excellence in passenger experience among more than 600 airlines globally, assessing crucial elements such as seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage quality, entertainment options, and Wi-Fi access. This acknowledgment comes on the heels of Fiji Airways being named an APEX World Class Airline for 2026, placing it among the top 10 airlines worldwide and marking it as the smallest airline by fleet size to attain this status, while also being the only airline from Oceania to achieve recognition in this elite tier.
