Fiji Airports Wins Big, Charts 2025-2034 Path to a Blue Pacific Aviation Hub

Fiji Airports has recently achieved a notable recognition, marking a significant milestone in its aspiration to evolve into a premier aviation hub in the Blue Pacific. Chief Executive Officer Mesake Nawari expressed immense pride in this accomplishment, affirming that it aligns perfectly with the organization’s strategic vision for the next decade, from 2025 to 2034. He emphasized that this award reflects Fiji Airports’ steadfast commitment to governance, management, and a continuous quest for excellence.

Nawari shared his surprise at the accolade, particularly as 2025 was originally designated as a foundational year. He acknowledged the invaluable support of the board, management, and the planning and monitoring evaluation unit, under the guidance of Manager Patrick Morel. Special recognition was also given to Bob, the Director of the Productivity Centre, and the FBEA team for their contributions.

The CEO highlighted that the achievements of Fiji Airports stem from collaborative efforts within the aviation sector. He mentioned the intention to share valuable insights gained from the FBEA process with industry partners to enhance sustainability, promote gender equity, and foster social inclusion. Nawari reiterated that customer service is a core principle of the company’s mission, reflecting the renowned “Bula spirit” – a symbol of Fiji’s warm hospitality.

Moreover, Nawari encouraged stakeholders within the industry to engage in similar evaluations, underscoring the importance of external reviews in driving progress throughout the aviation sector. He expressed excitement over the collective celebration of this achievement within the Fiji Airports community, viewing it as a shared step towards greater excellence.

This award comes at a significant moment, as Nadi International Airport, managed by Fiji Airports, has also received accolades, including the Level One Accreditation for Customer Experience from Airports Council International. This recognition reinforces the airport’s dedication to enhancing passenger services while aligning with its sustainability and operational objectives. The positive trajectory of Fiji Airports indicates a broader commitment to elevating aviation standards in the region, ultimately benefiting travelers and contributing to the social and economic well-being of the nation.
