Fiji Airports has entered into a strategic partnership with the Australian digital transformation consultancy CG TECH to launch a major digital transformation initiative. This program is designed to modernize and refine various business systems within the organization, focusing on critical areas such as finance, human resources, asset management, project management, and safety management.
Mesake Nawari, CEO of Fiji Airports, highlighted the importance of this initiative for the organization’s future sustainability and growth. He stressed the necessity of remaining resilient and efficient in the rapidly evolving aviation industry. “This aligns with our ten-year strategic plan focused on the digitalization and enhancement of our systems, which is expected to yield substantial financial and efficiency benefits in our service delivery,” Mr. Nawari remarked.
The initiative’s primary goal is to establish a fully integrated suite of business systems that will streamline finance, procurement, contracts, human resources, operations, and project management processes. This integration will allow the organization to access reliable, real-time data for informed decision-making.
Moreover, the program aims to leverage advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to boost data analysis capabilities, helping executive teams respond swiftly to challenges and make evidence-driven decisions. The transition to a modern digital workspace ensures that data is collected once, securely managed, and easily accessible via trusted systems, facilitating decision-making at all levels.
“By strengthening our data analytics processes and establishing a high-performance digital platform, we aim to elevate our business performance,” stated a representative from Fiji Airports. Carlos Garcia, CEO of CG TECH, characterized this program as a vital tool for providing clarity in the face of complex changes.
“Our role is to assist leadership teams in making informed decisions, reducing risks, and navigating the dynamic landscape of technology and workplace practices with confidence,” Mr. Garcia noted. He emphasized the importance of cultivating partnerships that focus on communication, capability-building, and supporting staff throughout the transformation journey.
This collaboration between Fiji Airports and CG TECH exemplifies a proactive approach towards embracing digital transformation, promising to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery within the aviation sector. This initiative not only showcases the commitment to modernization but also reflects a hopeful future for the industry, equipped to adapt and thrive in an increasingly digital world.
