The Fighting Hawks are coming off a challenging weekend, having faced tough opponents in South Dakota and South Dakota State. In their match against South Dakota, UND ended in a 1-1 draw, marking their fifth draw of the season. A sophomore player scored early in the 4th minute, assisted by teammates. The following match saw the Hawks lose 3-0 to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in a physically demanding home contest.
So far this season, the Hawks have maintained an impressive 4-2-0 record at home, scoring 20 goals from 140 shots in seven games at Bronson Field. They have effectively restricted their opponents to just eight goals on 91 attempts. Averaging 20 shots per game, the Fighting Hawks have also kept their opponents to an average of 13 shots.
This season, the Hawks have shown a strong teamwork ethic, with 29 assists on their 26 goals, indicating that only five of their goals have come unassisted. Their 29 assists are currently the highest in the Summit League and rank 50th nationally. This tally also marks the fifth-highest number of goals scored in a season for the program and is only the second time reaching this benchmark in the Division 1 era, following their record of 35 goals in 2018.
