Suva lawyer Tanya Waqanika has been formally charged by the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption for allegedly violating Section 14D of the Fijian Political Parties Act 2013. She made her appearance at the Suva Magistrates Court recently. The charge reportedly stems from a social media post made by Waqanika in April of the previous year.
