FEYE Begins: Fiji Year 8 Examinations Open With Prime Minister’s Encouragement

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has sent his best wishes to Year 8 students across Fiji as they kick off their Fiji Year Eight Examinations (FEYE) this week. In his motivational message, the Prime Minister urged students to stay focused and confident, and he encouraged them to give their best in every test. He highlighted the vital role of education in paving the way for a brighter future for the students, their families, and the nation as a whole.

“May this important milestone open new doors of learning and opportunity as you continue your journey toward a brighter future for yourselves, your families, and for our beloved Fiji,” said Prime Minister Rabuka. He concluded with heartfelt blessings, saying, “May God bless you all, may God bless Fiji.”

In tandem with the Prime Minister’s message, Acting Minister for Education Alitia Bainivalu recently expressed her encouragement to the 19,359 Year 8 students participating in the exams. She emphasized the significance of the examinations as not only a gauge of knowledge but also a testament to the students’ hard work and commitment. She called upon parents to provide unwavering support during this pivotal time, reminding families that a strong educational foundation is crucial for future success.

Both leaders’ messages underline a shared commitment to supporting students through this critical phase in their educational journey. The sentiment that these examinations represent stepping stones towards further academic and personal growth resonates strongly, reflecting a nation united in its belief in the transformative power of education.

As the exam period progresses, it is essential to acknowledge the efforts of all students and to instill in them a sense of determination and resilience. With support from families and the community, students are encouraged to face challenges with confidence, contributing towards a hopeful and productive academic environment in Fiji.
