The 34-year-old artist, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was transitioned to community confinement on January 7, 2026, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. He had been incarcerated since August 2022, following a six-year sentence handed down for his involvement in a multimillion-dollar drug distribution organization.
Maxwell’s current confinement is managed by the Bureau’s Philadelphia Residential Reentry Management Office, which oversees either home confinement or living arrangements in a halfway house. On January 8, he took to social media to share a poignant update with his fans, simply stating “home” in an Instagram story.
In his public statement, Maxwell expressed heartfelt gratitude towards his family, friends, and supporters for their overwhelming love and prayers during his time away. He emphasized his commitment to giving back to the community, particularly focusing on supporting at-risk children.
