Fenway Park Cancels Major Concerts: What’s Next for Fans?

Fenway Park has made the announcement to cancel the upcoming concerts featuring Shakira and Jason Aldean with Brooks & Dunn, originally planned for May 29th and May 30th. The cancellation, attributed to unforeseen circumstances, marks a disappointing start to the 2025 Fenway Concert Series. Ticket holders are advised that refunds will be processed at the point of purchase.

This cancellation was unexpected, especially after Shakira had expressed her excitement about the Boston shows through a social media post the day before, indicating her eagerness to perform alongside Will.I.am and Wyclef. The Shakira concert had already sold out, and Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn’s show saw limited tickets available for purchase just before the announcement.

As concertgoers look to the future, the Fenway schedule will still feature performances from other notable artists, including Hozier on June 23 and 24, followed by The Lumineers on July 17 and 18, and Thomas Rhett on July 19.

For fans concerned about Shakira’s next steps, she will continue her tour with a performance scheduled in Washington, D.C., on May 31. Similarly, Jason Aldean is set to take the stage at the CMA Fest in Nashville on June 5.

While this cancellation brings disappointment, it leaves room for anticipation for the upcoming concerts and the chance to enjoy the full summer series.
