FC Cincinnati has officially signed forward Kenji Mboma Dem, the 2024 MLS SuperDraft pick, to a contract extending through 2025, with options for two additional years, as announced on Saturday, July 5. The 23-year-old player will utilize a Supplemental Roster and International Roster Spot with the team.

Initially joining FC Cincinnati from the University of Dayton, Mboma Dem has made significant contributions to FC Cincinnati 2 in MLS NEXT Pro, marking his presence in the first team with two appearances, including a debut during the Concacaf Champions Cup on February 26 against FC Montagua.

General Manager Chris Albright expressed pride in signing Mboma Dem, highlighting his development and impact on the team. “Since being drafted in 2024, Kenji has established himself as a key piece for FC Cincinnati 2,” said Albright. He noted the player’s dedication, consistent training, and on-field performances that earned him this opportunity.

In his tenure with FC Cincinnati 2, Mboma Dem has netted 10 goals and provided seven assists in 26 appearances throughout two seasons, demonstrating his strong performance as he led the team with 12 goal contributions in 2024.
