On November 8, during the 31st edition of the Fiesta of Catalan Handball, the Catalan Handball Federation presented an award to FC Barcelona in recognition of their exceptional achievements in handball. Joan Solé, the director of the club’s handball section, received the accolade on behalf of the team, which had an impressive 2023/24 season. FC Barcelona’s first team clinched several prestigious titles, including the Champions League, Liga ASOBAL, Copa del Rey, Copa Asobal, Supercopa Ibérica, and Supercopa de Catalunya, alongside notable accomplishments from the youth teams.
Moreover, Aleix Gómez and Petar Cikusa were honored for securing a bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games. In addition, Petar Cikusa, Djorde Cikusa, Ian Barrufet, and Òscar Grau were celebrated for their contributions as Junior European Champions.
The ceremony took place at the Les Moreres Municipal Sports Complex in Esplugues de Llobregat and was well-attended, with nearly 400 guests present to celebrate these remarkable achievements in Catalan handball.
