FC Barcelona is continuing its expansion with the opening of its second Barça Store in Madrid. President Joan Laporta, along with other club officials, inaugurated the store during the first team’s visit for the match against Rayo Vallecano. The first Barça Store in Madrid debuted in December 2022 and has quickly become one of the club’s top-performing retail locations. The new store is situated in a prime location on C/Arenal 9, near the historic Palacio de Gaviria and the bustling Puerta del Sol.

The latest store spans 140 square meters and is located on the first floor of Terminal 4 at Madrid Barajas Airport. This marks a significant milestone as FC Barcelona becomes the only football club with a proprietary store at the airport, which serves as the busiest in Spain. The store aims to cater to Barça fans globally, offering a range of products including first team kits, training gear, and exclusive collections tailored for fans of all ages.

With the inauguration of the T4 store, FC Barcelona now operates 14 proprietary stores, eight of which were opened in the 2022/23 season. Notable locations include stores at Canaletes, Passeig de Gràcia, and Sagrada Família in Barcelona. The club also maintains various outlets in El Corte Inglés, with two in Barcelona and two in Palma.

FC Barcelona took direct control of its merchandise management in June 2018, establishing BLM (Barça Licensing & Merchandising) to better oversee brand management and enhance merchandising rights for global expansion.

The list of proprietary Barça Stores includes locations like Spotify Camp Nou, Canaletes, and Madrid, along with the newly opened T4 airport store. Additionally, there are four franchise stores in Palma, Salou, Platja d’Aro, and Barcelona’s Ronda Universitat.

Recently, the Barça Store at Barcelona airport T2 was relocated to a more convenient spot, making it easier for travelers to purchase their favorite Barça products. This change was part of AENA’s initiative to enhance traveler services at the second busiest airport in Spain.
