FC Barcelona’s retail expansion continues with the official opening of its second Barça Store in Madrid. Club President Joan Laporta, alongside Vice-President Rafa Yuste and several directors, inaugurated the new store during the first team’s trip to face Rayo Vallecano. This new outlet follows the first store that launched in December 2022 and has become one of the top performers among the club’s retail locations. Situated in the city center at C/Arenal 9, near the historic Palacio de Gaviria and the famous Puerta del Sol plaza, this store marks the first proprietary Barça Store outside of Catalonia.
The new store occupies 140 square meters on the first floor of Terminal 4 at Madrid Barajas Airport. With this opening, FC Barcelona becomes the only football club to have its own store in the airport. As the busiest airport in Spain, it presents an opportunity for the club to connect with fans from around the globe, offering merchandise that ranges from first-team kits to training gear, as well as exclusive collections for Barça supporters of all ages.
With the launch of the T4 store, FC Barcelona now operates 14 proprietary stores, eight of which were opened in the 2022/23 season alone. Notable locations in Barcelona include Canaletes, Passeig de Gràcia, and Sagrada Família. Additionally, the club has stores in El Corte Inglés, with two in Barcelona (Diagonal and Plaza Catalunya) and two in Palma.
In June 2018, the club took direct control of its merchandising with the creation of Barça Licensing & Merchandising (BLM) to enhance brand management and expand its retail presence globally.
The list of proprietary Barça Stores includes Spotify Camp Nou, Canaletes, Passeig de Gràcia, Madrid, T4 Madrid Barajas, Centre Comercial Arenas, Poble Espanyol, Barça Store & Exhibition Sagrada Família, Westfield La Maquinista, Parc Central Tarragona, Aeroport T1 (Barcelona), Aeroport T2 (Barcelona), La Roca Village, and Maremàgnum. Additionally, there are four franchise stores located in Palma, Salou, Platja d’Aro, and on Ronda Universitat in Barcelona.
Recently, the Barça Store at Barcelona Airport T2 was relocated to a more central spot to better serve travelers, aligning with AENA’s initiative to enhance passenger services at the second-largest airport in Spain.
