FC Barcelona is continuing its expansion by opening a new store in Madrid, coinciding with the first team’s visit for a match against Rayo Vallecano. President Joan Laporta, along with vice-president Rafa Yuste, and other directors, launched the second Barça Store in the capital. The original store, which opened in December 2022, has already become one of the Club’s top-performing locations. The newly opened store is situated at C/Arenal 9, in the city center, near the historic Palacio de Gaviria and the well-known Puerta del Sol plaza. This marks the first proprietary store established outside of Catalunya.

The latest addition is a 140 square meter store located on the first floor of Terminal 4 at Madrid’s airport. With this launch, FC Barcelona stands out as the only football club with a proprietary store at Madrid Barajas airport, which is the busiest airport in Spain. The club aims for this new store to serve as a shopping destination for fans from around the world, offering a range of products including first team jerseys, training gear, and exclusive collections designed specifically for blaugrana supporters of all ages.

With the opening of the T4 store, FC Barcelona’s total count of proprietary stores has reached 14, eight of which were inaugurated during the 2022/23 season. Key locations in Barcelona include Canaletes, Passeig de Gràcia, and Sagrada Família. The club also operates stores in El Corte Inglés, with two situated in Barcelona, as well as two in Palma.

In June 2018, the Club took charge of its merchandising management by forming BLM (Barça Licensing & Merchandising) to regain control over its brand and enhance its global merchandising endeavors. Currently, FC Barcelona operates 14 proprietary stores and four franchise stores located in Palma, Salou, Platja d’aro, and on Ronda Universitat in Barcelona.

Additionally, the Barça Store at Barcelona airport T2 has recently been relocated to a more central spot within the terminal to better serve travelers, following improvements in airport service by AENA, Spain’s second-largest airport authority.
