FC Barcelona and Maybank Kick Off Extended Partnership: What’s Next?

FC Barcelona has extended its partnership with Maybank, one of Asia’s leading banking groups, until 2027. This agreement will see Maybank continue as the Official Bank of FC Barcelona in Malaysia and Singapore, a role it has occupied since 2017.

The partnership extension is pivotal for both entities. For FC Barcelona, it solidifies its presence in the dynamic Asian market, where the club boasts a large fanbase. For Maybank, this collaboration serves as an excellent avenue to expand brand visibility and deepen customer engagement.

As part of the renewed agreement, Maybank will keep promoting its Maybank FC Barcelona Cards in Malaysia and Singapore, available in both credit and debit formats. These cards are intended to solidify Maybank’s position as a key player in the card markets of these countries. Furthermore, Maybank will continue exclusive initiatives like the “Spend & Score” campaign, which includes various challenges and prize draws. Previous promotions have allowed clients unique experiences, such as trips to Barcelona and meetings with FC Barcelona legends.

From now until September 15, 2024, Maybank will introduce a new campaign, offering Malaysian FC Barcelona fans another opportunity to win a unique experience in Barcelona.

Maybank holds a significant presence in the card market, with over 14 million cardholders in Malaysia and Singapore. Among these, over 600,000 are holders of the Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Debit and Credit cards, reinforcing the strong link between Maybank and football enthusiasts in the region.
