Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan expressed confidence in the team’s batting unit ahead of their T20 World Cup Super Eight match against England. Following a series of underwhelming performances with the bat, Farhan highlighted the need for improvement as the team prepares to face a formidable opponent.

“Our batting has struggled, especially the top order,” Farhan noted. “While our bowling, particularly our spinners, has performed well, we must enhance our batting to secure victories. T20 cricket demands contributions from the top three or four batsmen, and we’ve fallen short in that department.”

As the highest run-scorer in the tournament with 220 runs from four innings, Farhan is keen to turn the team’s fortunes around. He indicated that success in T20 cricket relies on collective effort. “Sometimes the top-order shines, and other times it’s the middle-order’s turn. It’s a team game, and everyone needs to share the responsibility,” he commented.

Farhan is aware of the challenge posed by England’s Jofra Archer and is prepared to face the fast bowler. “It’s not a big deal to go up against Archer; we have encountered him before. Playing in Pakistan, we face bowlers who can reach speeds of 145 km/h as well. We each have our strategies, and I’m looking forward to an exciting contest,” he said, showing optimism about the upcoming match.

With Farhan in form and a strong resolve to raise their batting performance, Pakistan fans can hope for a competitive clash against England in the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup.
