Rugby fans are in for an exciting weekend as the Inkk Farebrother Challenge returns to Naluwai ground in Naitasiri this Saturday. The reigning champions, Naitasiri, will defend their title against Suva in a much-anticipated match scheduled to kick off at 3 PM. The excitement builds with a day full of rugby action, starting at 11 AM with the Subrails Marama clash between Suva and Naitasiri, followed by an Under 20 game at 1 PM, culminating in the main event. This vibrant day of rugby will be available for viewers, with the Marama clash broadcast on FBC TV and the Skipper Cup/Farebrother match airing exclusively on FBC 2.

Elsewhere on the rugby circuit, Churchill Park will host Lautoka as they face Tailevu, Ba will meet Vatukoula at Garvey Park, Macuata will line up against Malolo at Subrail Park, and Nadroga will compete against Nadi at Lawaqa Park.

This weekend’s fixtures are set against a backdrop of past intense matches, including Naitasiri’s gripping win over Lautoka for the Farebrother Trophy in Suva, which highlighted the passionate rivalry and competitive spirit integral to Fijian rugby. These contests underscore the rich tradition of sportsmanship while fostering community spirit and regional pride in Fiji.

The engagement of fans and the community in these matches helps preserve the vibrant rugby culture that makes Fiji so unique. As players and supporters prepare for this weekend’s showdowns, the promise of competitive and spirited matches continues to capture the hearts of rugby enthusiasts nationwide.
