Level-5 has issued an important update regarding issues affecting the Switch and Xbox versions of “Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.” The rollout for the Version 1.2.1 update, initially set for release, is now expected to be delayed, with the new timeline anticipated to be around May 29.
Several issues were identified for both platforms that have hampered gameplay, particularly in regards to quest progression and item discovery. Notable problems include difficulty locating certain recipes in the Recipe Menu for crafting lives and bugs encountered when editing and saving Stickers or Emotes within Treasure Groves or shrines, which can hinder player progress directly following a save.
To assist players dealing with these bugs, workarounds have been provided. In cases where players are unable to find required recipes, accessing the “Quests” tab and scrolling through it may offer a solution. Furthermore, if players encounter freezing issues, they can exit Treasure Groves or utilize teleportation gates to continue their adventure.
Additional issues include limits on getting inside the Cave of Trials after certain event sequences, and glitches occurring during the Guild Office expansion event that could lead to duplicate offices. Thankfully, Level-5 is also planning to implement fixes such as enhancing UI clarity in the “Life Challenges” tab, adding a new “Instant Help” feature to assist players, and tweaking the multiplayer experience so that progress persists even during sessions with other players.
In a related note, the game received a positive score from Japanese publication Famitsu, achieving 36 out of 40, which reflects the excitement surrounding its local launch on May 21st, following its early access release on May 18th.
This development augers well for players, as Level-5 is proactively addressing concerns to enhance the gameplay experience. Once these updates are fully integrated, players can expect a smoother and more enjoyable journey through the whimsical world of “Fantasy Life i.”
