We invite fans to meet their favorite actors and creators, enjoy photo ops and autograph experiences, attend celebrity panels, and immerse themselves in all things fandom, all in one place.”
The event kicks off with a media gathering at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, leading into the official opening of the expo at 4 p.m. Attendees can look forward to special remarks from Moyes, a welcome from the City of Boston, and a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony, complete with appearances by costumed characters.
The roster of celebrities scheduled to appear at Fan Expo Boston includes major names such as John Cena, Ewan McGregor, and Hayden Christensen, alongside others like Orlando Bloom, Jared Padalecki, and Simon Pegg. A selection of popular animation voice actors will also make their appearances, enhancing the event’s diversity.
In addition to celebrity meet-and-greets and photo opportunities, attendees can expect engaging Q&A panels, workshops, and even interactive gaming experiences throughout the weekend. A dedicated area will invite gamers to participate in live interactive gaming, while the community zone will provide family-friendly activities.
As for shopping enthusiasts, over 250,000 square feet of space will be available, featuring hundreds of retailers specializing in comics, anime, gaming, and more. The Artists Alley will highlight legendary comic creators and provide opportunities for attendees to obtain original artwork.
Cosplayers will have a chance to showcase their talents by entering the Masters of Cosplay Grand Prix Bay State Qualifier competition, with a chance to win $1,000 and a ticket to compete at MEGACON Orlando 2026.
This year’s Fan Expo Boston not only promises fun and excitement but also serves as a celebration of creativity and community in the pop culture landscape. With a mix of panels, celebrity interactions, and ample shopping, the event reflects a thriving ecosystem that brings together fans of all ages.
