A 26-year-old man has been placed in police custody on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Dijon (Côte-d’Or) on charges including sexual assault on a minor over the age of 15, as reported by BFMTV. A 17-year-old girl has filed a complaint against him.

The suspect, who reportedly has no medical qualifications, allegedly posed as a pediatrician to exploit her during a fake consultation. According to the public prosecutor, he offered her an internship as well as cannabis. The incidents are said to have occurred several weeks prior.

A search of the suspect’s home uncovered alarming evidence, including CVs of young girls, bank cards, an alarm pistol, a balaclava, and gloves. Additionally, the prosecutor noted that items linked to the Dijon University Hospital (CHU) were also found at the suspect’s residence. A police source detailed that these items included access badges and phones from the CHU, despite the suspect not being employed at the hospital.

As of Thursday, July 10, 2025, the man’s custody is still ongoing. The hospital has stated that it is fully cooperating with investigators to resolve the case swiftly, adding that no further information will be released at this time due to the ongoing judicial investigation.

This incident highlights serious concerns regarding the safety of minors and the importance of strict enforcement against impersonation and abuse. It is crucial that communities remain vigilant and support thorough investigations to protect children from such predatory behaviors.
