Fact-Check: Erika Kirk Not on Air Force Two With VP Vance — Claims Debunked

In early November 2025, claims circulated on social media suggesting that Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA, flew on Air Force Two with U.S. Vice President JD Vance during a trip to the University of Mississippi. The murmurings, which included a Facebook post alleging that Kirk’s travel cost taxpayers $6 million, generated significant discussion and speculation regarding a potential personal relationship between Kirk and Vance.

However, official reports clearly contradict these claims. According to the White House pool report documenting Vice President Vance’s journey to Ole Miss on October 29, 2025, he traveled only with his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, and two U.S. senators, Roger Wicker and Cindy Hyde-Smith from Mississippi. There was no mention of Erika Kirk being present on Air Force Two, and photographic evidence supports this assertion.

Responding to the speculation, Andrew Kolvet, a spokesperson for Turning Point USA, labeled the claims as “100% false,” affirming that Kirk flew separately and stressing that the cost of operating Air Force Two would be consistent with typical flight expenses. While specific flight costs for this trip were not disclosed, available data suggests that the actual expenses were likely in the range of tens or possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars rather than the inflated $6 million figure cited in social media posts.

The Vice President’s Office did not provide a formal response when asked whether any private individuals, including Kirk, traveled on Air Force Two for the trip. Previous records indicate that the last time Kirk was documented flying on Air Force Two was on September 11, 2025, when she accompanied Vance to transport the casket of her late husband, Charlie Kirk.

As discussions around government travel costs remain a topic of public interest, this incident reiterates the importance of verifying claims before spreading them online. With no substantiated evidence tying Erika Kirk to the Vice President’s recent travels, it’s crucial for the public to discern facts from speculation.
