Running until July 7, the Philadelphia Latino Arts & Film Festival is an inspiring showcase of Latino filmmakers. With over 180 films from more than 25 countries, the festival opens avenues for dialogue around the rich experiences and cultures of Latin America. From June 6 to June 8, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Show, recognized as the oldest outdoor art show in the nation, will welcome over 140 artists to exhibit their talents around the iconic square. The city’s largest Independence Day celebration, Wawa Welcome America, kicks off with a Juneteenth Block Party at the African American Museum in Philadelphia, spotlighting Grammy-award-winning DJ Drama along with interactive games and educational activities—free for all attendees. The museum is among the 40 institutions offering complimentary admission during the festivities. The celebration features a series of concerts, including Gospel on Independence and a performance by the U.S. Army Band on the Delaware River Waterfront.
