Eva Mendes Talks Style, Sustainability, and Her New Children’s Book

Eva Mendes appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday to discuss her new children’s book, “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries.” The actress, known for her role in “The Place Beyond the Pines,” donned a stylish checkered suit featuring autumnal colors in shades of brown and taupe.

Mendes completed her late-night look with high-waisted, wide-leg trousers that matched her single-breasted blazer, which had rolled cuffs and sharp lapels, along with practical pockets. Underneath, she chose a simple white top with a scoop neckline and finished the outfit with pointed toe heels that featured a snakeskin print and clear elements.

For accessories, Mendes opted for gold jewelry, wearing statement rings, bracelets, and bold earrings that complemented her ensemble. Her look was curated by stylist Cher Coulter, known for working with celebrities like Michelle Dockery.

During her appearance, Mendes shared her vision for her children’s book, emphasizing its potential to inspire connections between parents and children through reading. She described the book as a lesson in not always believing one’s thoughts.

In addition to her literary endeavor, Mendes recently partnered with Stella McCartney as the face of the fashion designer’s fall 2024 campaign, which promotes sustainability and cruelty-free practices in the industry. The initiative, reinforced by the campaign’s mantra “It’s About F-king Time,” also features singer Raye and was photographed by Ethan James Green.
