Esrom Yosef Immanuel has officially been sworn in as Fiji’s new Minister for Finance, Commerce, and Business Development. The ceremony occurred recently at Government House and was officiated by Acting President Justice Salesi Temo.
Immanuel, who previously served as the Assistant Minister for Finance, succeeds Professor Biman Prasad, the leader of the National Federation Party (NFP), who resigned from his position. Professor Prasad had held the crucial Finance portfolio since the coalition government took office in December 2022.
