Gen.G Esports and T1 demonstrated their prowess on the battlefield, both securing wins in their quarterfinal matches at the Esports World Cup League of Legends event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Gen.G achieved a decisive 2-0 victory over FlyQuest, showcasing their skill with a 32-minute win on red and a 31-minute win on blue. This victory ensured them a spot in the semifinals, where they will face G2 Esports, who edged out Bilibili Gaming with a close 2-1 win.

T1 also battled hard, overcoming a tough challenge from KOI to win 2-1. Their match featured a series of intense games, with T1 winning the first and third games in 29 and 27 minutes respectively, sandwiching KOI’s one win which also lasted 29 minutes. T1 will now meet AG.AL in the semifinals, who triumphed over Hanwha Life with a 2-1 scoreline.

The tournament has attracted 12 teams competing for a substantial prize pool of $2 million. In addition, the event plays a crucial role in the larger Club Championship, which promises to award a whopping $7 million to the ultimate champion. The detailed prize distribution for the Esports World Cup 2025 is as follows: first place will receive $600,000 and 1,000 club points, with decreasing amounts allocated for subsequent rankings.
