Former Auburn wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. has officially entered the transfer portal, reversing his earlier decision to pursue the 2026 NFL Draft. Singleton, who made the switch to Auburn from Georgia Tech last year, was a significant contributor for the Tigers last season, leading the team with 58 receptions for 534 yards and three touchdowns.
During his time with Georgia Tech, Singleton proved to be a reliable target, amassing 104 receptions for 1,468 yards and nine touchdowns over two seasons. His departure adds to the existing challenges for Auburn as they look to bolster their receiving corps for the upcoming season.
Auburn had braced for Singleton’s potential exit, whether through the draft or a transfer. In response, the Tigers have begun to reshape their wide receiver lineup, recently bringing in five transfers, including Keshaun Singleton from USF. Keshaun was a standout performer for the Bulls, securing 50 catches for 877 yards and eight touchdowns last season, which could help mitigate the loss of Eric Singleton Jr.
As Auburn navigates this transition, the focus will be on integrating new talent and maintaining competitiveness in an increasingly challenging environment. The addition of experienced players from other programs might provide the boost the team needs to thrive moving forward.
