Following Secretary Hillary Clinton’s recent testimony before the U.S. House Oversight Committee regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s notorious history, former President Bill Clinton is preparing to provide his own deposition. During a segment on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Representative Anna Paulina Luna criticized Secretary Clinton’s responses and declared that President Donald Trump has been “exonerated” in relation to the Epstein scandal.
In her deposition, Secretary Clinton was confronted with photographs from the Epstein files that included President Clinton. She deferred all inquiries on this matter to her husband, stating that the Oversight Committee should direct questions to President Clinton himself. Representative Luna emphasized that this adherence to spousal communication rules affects their ability to disclose certain details under oath.
Luna expressed concern that Congress ought to broaden its investigation to explore allegations of Epstein’s potential connections to foreign intelligence operations, as well as the roles of his female co-conspirators. She asserted that the liberal media has largely ignored these implications. “Based on who Epstein interacted with, it’s reasonable to deduce that he had ties to foreign intelligence,” she stated, noting a perception that Secretary Clinton might recognize this connection without explicitly stating it.
In a subsequent press conference, Clinton was questioned about Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate who was present at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. Secretary Clinton responded that Maxwell attended as a guest of someone who was officially invited but did not disclose the identity of that person.
Representative Luna pointed out that both President Clinton and President Trump have stated they severed ties with Epstein before any charges were brought against him, yet she claimed that Democrats have approached the situation differently. She criticized the mainstream narrative, claiming that Democrats are attempting to connect Trump to Epstein while maintaining a different standard for President Clinton.
Luna highlighted that they had sought input from Epstein’s alleged victims about Trump, emphasizing that he had been cleared of any wrongdoing. She stated, “The President is not considered a person of interest in this investigation,” pushing back against efforts to involve Trump in the ongoing discourse surrounding Epstein’s associates and their alleged illicit activities.
The discourse surrounding these depositions showcases a wider narrative of political accountability and the intricacies of public perception regarding high-profile figures linked to Epstein.
