The upcoming “Ramayan” duology, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is generating immense excitement as it promises to deliver a cinematic experience that surpasses even renowned films like “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “The Suicide Squad” in terms of visual effects. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Yash as Raavan, the film aims to redefine Indian mythology on the big screen with Hollywood-grade action sequences and state-of-the-art VFX.
Yash, a prominent figure in the film, not only plays the fearsome Raavan but also takes on the role of co-producer, ensuring his creative vision is woven throughout the project. He is collaborating with acclaimed Hollywood stunt director Guy Norris, known for his expertise in crafting dynamic action scenes. Currently in India, Norris is preparing for the film’s large-scale action sequences that will centralize Yash’s character.
The production, under the aegis of Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s own Monster Mind Creations, is a significant undertaking that will take approximately 60 to 70 days for the first part of filming, slated for release during Diwali 2026. The second part is expected to follow by Diwali 2027.
With a spectacular cast, groundbreaking visual effects, and a commitment to elevating Indian storytelling on a global platform, “Ramayan” is positioning itself as a landmark film in Indian cinema history. The project embodies a hopeful vision of how traditional narratives can be reimagined to captivate audiences worldwide, making it a thrilling prospect for film enthusiasts.
