Emily Blunt recently opened up about her collaborative experience with husband John Krasinski in the upcoming ELLE’s 2025 Women In Hollywood Celebration issue. The couple, married since 2010 and parents to two children, teamed up for the acclaimed 2018 film A Quiet Place, where they portrayed a couple navigating a terrifying, post-apocalyptic world.
In her interview for the magazine, which appears in the December 2025/January 2026 issue, Blunt expressed her excitement about working with Krasinski, emphasizing the mutual respect that strengthened their creative partnership. “Before we started, I was like, ‘Look, I’m thrilled to be doing this with you, but do you know how to shoot this movie? Because I don’t know how to shoot a movie. So I’m just asking,’” she recounted, highlighting her initial uncertainty and Krasinski’s confident assurance that he was ready for the task.
Their on-screen chemistry was pivotal, with Blunt noting if they hadn’t respected or admired each other, the project could have turned into “an absolute disaster.” This sentiment underscores the importance of mutual trust and respect in both their marriage and professional endeavors.
For the ELLE photoshoot, Blunt showcased an array of stunning outfits, including a strapless leather corset paired with a flowing white tulle maxi skirt, a structured co-ord, and a sleek navy suit adorned with gold accents. She concluded the shoot looking elegant in a black midi dress with a striking white collar, captivating audiences with her fashion choices.
Also featured in the same issue is actress Jessie Buckley, who recently starred in the adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamnet alongside Paul Mescal, scheduled for release in 2026. She praised her co-star, stating, “Sometimes you just have great chemistry with somebody on set,” which allowed for a deeper exploration of their characters. Buckley reflected on the themes of love and grief in the film, reinforcing the notion that love is invaluable and worth pursuing.
Buckley also shared her thoughts on working with female directors, noting that the material often drew her in rather than being a conscious choice. She expressed profound admiration for the distinct narratives female directors bring forth, adding, “They want the full story,” demonstrating how these diverse perspectives have influenced her career.
The December 2025/January 2026 issue of ELLE will be available on newsstands starting December 2, 2025, alongside features that celebrate the impactful roles women play in Hollywood. The magazine’s dedication to showcasing women’s stories reflects an encouraging shift towards greater representation and the sharing of powerful narratives in the industry.
