The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to end their three-game losing streak when they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night. This matchup marks the third game of a challenging five-game road trip for the Sixers.

As of Monday evening, Joel Embiid’s status for the game is uncertain due to a right ankle sprain and ongoing management of a knee injury. Notably, Embiid was similarly listed as questionable ahead of the Sixers’ recent match against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he ultimately did not play. Head coach Nick Nurse clarified that Embiid was sidelined primarily due to the ankle injury sustained during the team’s disappointing 109-102 loss to the Chicago Bulls, in which Embiid managed to score 31 points in just over 32 minutes of action.

In addition to Embiid’s uncertain participation, the 76ers will also be without Trendon Watford and Kelly Oubre Jr., although the team reported that both players are making progress and will be reintegrated into team activities starting with Monday’s practice.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, face a more daunting injury report with several key players unavailable for the matchup. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring), Brandon Clarke (calf), Zach Edey (ankle), Ty Jerome (calf), John Konchar (thumb), Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe), and Vince Williams Jr. (knee) are all out. Meanwhile, Jock Landale remains questionable for Tuesday’s game due to a calf issue.

As the 76ers enter this critical game, they will aim to leverage their talent and overcome their recent struggles, hoping for a swift return to the winning column against a depleted Grizzlies team.
