Elizabeth Olsen, renowned for her role as Wanda Maximoff, or the Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently shared her thoughts about the forthcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest, which is poised to be a spin-off of the acclaimed WandaVision and the upcoming Agatha All Along. These series collectively form an intriguing trilogy within the MCU.
In a recent interview with Inverse, Olsen revealed that she was initially unaware of VisionQuest’s development. She noted that her knowledge expanded after spending time with her co-star Paul Bettany, who plays Vision. “I didn’t know anything about it until he and I spent time together just the other week, and he’s so proud of it,” Olsen commented. She expressed enthusiasm for the project, mentioning, “It really sounds like a trifecta between Agatha All Along, his show, VisionQuest, and what we made with WandaVision. So, I’m excited to see that.”
This revelation comes amidst ongoing speculation regarding Olsen’s return to the MCU, particularly following her character’s presumed death in the 2022 film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Although she claimed to have no prior knowledge about VisionQuest, Olsen’s involvement doesn’t appear to be ruled out. Marvel has a history of keeping casting details under wraps, as demonstrated by Andrew Garfield’s secretive role in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The official synopsis for VisionQuest indicates a focus on White Vision’s journey post-WandaVision, as he grapples with the memories he received, lacking the emotions to properly connect with them. Joining Bettany in the cast are notable actors such as James Spader, Emily Hampshire, Henry Lewis, and Todd Stashwick, further enhancing the show’s promise.
VisionQuest is set to make its debut on Disney+ in late 2026, a prospect that excites fans eager to see where the story goes next in the evolving Marvel universe. With its interconnected storytelling and familiar faces, the series is sure to draw significant interest.
