Eilenberg Returns: ITV America’s Creative Vision Takes Shape!

David Eilenberg is making a notable return to ITV America, stepping back into the role of Creative Director after two years as head of content at Roku Media. Eilenberg previously spent six years at ITV’s American division, where he played a crucial role in producing hits like Love Island USA, which recently achieved prominence on Peacock during its sixth season.

In this newly established position, Eilenberg will guide the creative direction of ITV America, overseeing all creative development for unscripted series, including formats, documentaries, and competitions, as well as brand and digital content initiatives. This move comes amid ITV America’s strategy to search for new successful programs following the success of Love Island.

Significantly, the company is restructuring by merging its individual production labels into a single development group, moving away from a genre-specific structure. Eilenberg will manage development across various labels, such as ITV Entertainment and Leftfield Pictures, aiming to focus on producing “bigger, better” ideas.

Eilenberg brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served as Chief Creative Officer at ITV America and having helped shape numerous successful shows, including Netflix’s Queer Eye and NBC’s The Voice. His extensive background includes leadership roles at Turner and Mark Burnett Productions, further showcasing his deep industry insight.

The appointment follows Simon Thomas’s transition to Pantheon Media Group. ITV America CEO David George expressed optimism regarding Eilenberg’s return, emphasizing his unique blend of industry knowledge and entertainment-driven passion, qualities essential for navigating today’s complex media landscape.

Eilenberg himself expressed excitement about returning to ITV and contributing to the creative process, stating his eagerness to cultivate fresh talent and work on unique projects that resonate with audiences and buyers alike.

As ITV America embraces this new chapter under Eilenberg’s leadership, the outlook appears bright for the production company as it seeks to develop the next wave of compelling television content and digital initiatives.
